Pål Lersveen - Jøss så små de er blitt 27.5 - 5.6 2022

Exhibition at the Festa

Desolate and abandoned, we find the disused Festa power station in Oppdal Municipality. The building bore a strong mark of its functionality, and at first glance the exhibition may seem authoritarian and brutal. However, Lersveen invites us into a softer and more private sphere. Several of the works in the exhibition deal with both the artists' bodies and the power station's body. These two qualities will together form the whole of the exhibition. Lersveen will revive the building with its video installations, sound works and sculptures. New life illuminates new dimensions. By working site-specifically, he tries to establish a conversation between himself and the building. The power station is a monumental building over three floors in mainly concrete. The building is characterized by its functionality, which has given the artist a clear direction in his ideas about how the building's body and his own can together create new narratives. In the exhibition, Lersveen will present new works consisting of 3 sculptures and 6 video and audio works, in addition to 2 site-specific installations.
